Thank very much to Fermilab’s Mr. Freeze as he presented the topic of cryogenics to our second grade students. His demonstration on the fascinating field of supercooling incorporated students’ knowledge of solids, liquids and gases from the classroom. He discussed how Fermilab engineers use liquid nitrogen to supercool magnets for their scientific work. The students were amazed to see all of the experiments live! We appreciate Mr. Freeze and the magical world that science teaches us.
